Medium for transporting and storing samples
DESCRIPTION
An ideal transport system aims to preserve the viability of all microorganisms present in a sample, while limiting bacterial overgrowth between the time of collection and culturing.
The CTM transport medium contains:
- an inorganic phosphate buffer to stabilize the pH of the medium
- calcium and magnesium to help maintain the permeability of bacterial cells,
- antioxidants to maintain the viability of anaerobic bacteria.

Medium for transporting and decontaminating clinical samples that may contain Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
DESCRIPTION
TransBK medium provides the optimal conditions necessary for decontaminating samples and maintaining the viability of mycobacteria, particularly the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. It simplifies the decontamination step and significantly reduces the time required for culture isolation and, therefore, the time required for diagnosing mycobacteriosis, particularly tuberculosis.

RapidGrowthBK agar is a non-selective solid medium suitable for the rapid isolation and culture of mycobacteria (belonging to the tubercle group) from clinical, veterinary, and environmental samples after prior decontamination, particularly from TransBK medium (reference CT2203).
